  • Government to extend national internship program in the central executive authorities in 2019

    On January 30, the Government upon the initiative of First Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv  approved a decision to extend the pilot project "National internship program in central executive authorities" until December 31, 2019.

    Within the framework of the national program, the Government will offer opportunity to the third and fourth–year students, graduates to undertake internship  in ministries (except the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Defense), the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service.

    "The national internship program is a"single window "of attracting young people to join the public service. We lay the principle of equality - everyone who meets the criteria will be able to apply online, to take a test and to undergo internship in the ministry," Stepan Kubiv said.

    He explained that the centralized recruitment of trainees will allow to shape predictable rules of the game, as a result, graduates will be able to plan their careers by taking into account the possibility of internship in the Government.

    It should be noted that from June to September participants of the first wave of internship undertook an internship in six ministries, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
