More than UAH 51 million of educational subvention expenditures will be redistributed among local budgets to prevent arrears of salaries to teachers. The relevant decision was made by the Government on December 9, 2020.

The redistribution will allow avoidance of the emergence of arrears of wages to teachers of general secondary education in some administrative-territorial units of Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions.

According to the decision, a resource worth UAH 51 million 629.8 thousand educational subvention expenditures will be redistributed among local budgets within the expenditures of the respective region. Apart from that, the reserve of educational subvention in the amount of UAH 4 million 679.8 thousand will be distributed.

In addition, the redistribution of the amount of the educational subvention from the reserve is carried out due to the identified inaccuracies in the data that arose during the submission of statistical reports and affected the formula calculation of the amount of the educational subvention.

It’s worth noting, in the draft State Budget-2021 increase of a level of payment for educators next year is planned. In particular, it is budgeted to raise salaries (salary rates) by 20% from January 1, 2021.
