The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine endorsed a draft regulation, which stipulates for the distribution of the subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the establishment of educational and practical centers of modern vocational (technical and vocational) education in 2020. The corresponding decision was approved by the Government upon commission of the President during a regular meeting on August 26.

According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, an issue at stake is a sum worth UAH 100 million.

"In most of these educational institutions, the material and technical base has not been updated for decades. At the same time, both industry and agriculture need skilled workers. It is important to educate our youth, who will be professionally trained and will be able to get a decent job at Ukrainian enterprises," the Head of Government stressed.
