The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the framework of renewal of fair gas consumption norms for the population has decided to set the norm at 3.29 cubic meters of gas per person per month for households without a heat meter. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced this during a Government sitting.
The Head of Government recalled that the rate of gas consumption at 3.3 cubic meters was set in 2016. However, this rate was overturned by the court decision and the old, enlarged and unfair consumption standards entered into force
"We see indignation of people because of excessive gas rates. This happened due to the court’s decision to reverse the Government’s decree. We will defend our stance, but we need a new decision. We set the new norm at 3.29 cubic meters and it will be approved. People will pay a fair price for a fair not overrated amount," Volodymyr Groysman underscored.
