The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, during its meeting on August 12, approved amendments to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of August 8, 2020 № 979-p "On temporary suspension of work of border checkpoints to enter the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and exit from it to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 on the territory of Ukraine".

According to the included changes, entrants and persons enrolled in educational institutions and living in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol have the right to enter or leave independently or accompanied by a legal representative without mandatory self-isolation, in order to:

- enter (submit documents, etc.) to educational institutions in the controlled territory of Ukraine;

- to start studying (solving issues related to the start of the educational process) in educational institutions in the controlled territory of Ukraine.

Moreover, changes were also made regarding the self-isolation of persons crossing checkpoints when leaving the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Thus, self-isolation is terminated in case of receiving a negative result of COVID-19 test taken by the polymerase chain reaction method, which was carried out after leaving the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
