The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that defines the procedure and conditions for granting a subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the implementation of projects under the Ukraine Recovery Programme III. The amount of EUR 100 million will be used to restore critical infrastructure and develop communities.

Main areas of funding under the Ukraine Recovery Programme III:

    • Energy resilience of communities – diversification of heat supply and development of distributed generation.
    • Housing construction – creation of a municipal housing stock for internally displaced persons, community workers and other categories.
    • Modernisation of water supply and sewerage – renovation of networks in communities.
    • Reconstruction of medical facilities, including cluster hospitals and perinatal centres.

The application process has been completed and the regional military administrations are currently evaluating the projects submitted. The next step is to draw up and approve the ranking lists and determine the finalists who will receive funding.

The previous two phases of the programme have enabled the implementation of 225 projects worth over EUR 500 million.
