Government endorses the logistics procedure for foreign volunteers to join the ranks of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. This is a clear and transparent mechanism — from traveling to Ukraine to signing a military service contract. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko announced.

The procedure will work as follows:

- Candidates will be accompanied in this process by companies included in the list compiled by the Center for Recruiting Foreigners and Stateless Persons. These companies submit an application and the necessary documents to the Center. Only companies that meet the established requirements and have made a payment of UAH 5 million can be included in the list. This serves as a kind of insurance in case the company violates the terms of the contract. After verification, including checks for the absence of sanctions restrictions and ties with the aggressor state, a decision is made within 10 working days.

- Verified and registered companies invite candidates, collect the necessary documents — the Center, in turn, approves them.

- The company then assists with paperwork, insurance, logistics for foreign volunteers (including stateless persons), accommodation, and meals until the contract is signed. The payment for these services is fixed — UAH 300,000 per candidate. However, it will be paid in stages to avoid abuse.

- Companies will be responsible for the legality of all procedures and the authenticity of documents. If a candidate fails the medical commission or refuses to sign the contract, the company must, at its own expense, ensure their return to the country of departure.

“The President of Ukraine’s task regarding the recruitment of foreigners is a priority for the Government. The Defense Forces already have experience in involving foreign volunteers. We must scale it up to the level where 30–50% of infantry and assault positions will be filled by foreign volunteers,” emphasized Yuliia Svyrydenko.
