Government ensures free replacement of driving documents for citizens affected by attacks

On 6 August, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision to provide free replacement of driving licences and vehicle registration certificates for citizens affected by the armed aggression of the russian federation. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“We must be sensitive to the needs of those who have lost property, housing, or documents due to the war. People should not face additional bureaucratic obstacles in already challenging circumstances,” stressed the Prime Minister.

The decision applies to cases where documents were lost due to shelling or other military actions. From now on, affected citizens can replace their driving licence and vehicle registration certificate without paying the associated administrative fees.

This is another step by the state to support those impacted by the war, aimed at simplifying access to administrative services and reducing the financial burden on citizens.
