  • Government has allocated another UAH 21 million for compensation for free accommodation of IDPs in institutions

    This refers to compensation for utilities consumed during the free stay of internally displaced persons in the premises of state, municipal and private property. The decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

    The document provides for the allocation of more than UAH 21 million from the state budget reserve fund to the relevant institutions to cover utility costs for June 2024. The funds will be allocated as follows:

    - more than UAH 3.9 million to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, and the Ministry of Social Policy to pay compensation to state-owned institutions under their management;

    - more than UAH 16.3 million to municipal institutions, state educational institutions transferred for financing from local budgets, and jointly owned institutions of territorial communities of the region and district managed by regional and district councils.

    The Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories will provide the above subsidy from the state budget to local budgets according to the approved distribution between regional budgets.

    Also, more than UAH 662,000 is provided to regional military administrations to pay compensation to private institutions (except for private educational institutions).

    The Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories expresses its gratitude to the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance for their cooperation in implementing the state policy on support of internally displaced persons.
