On 17 May, the Government made a decision to allocate UAH 725.6 million from the state budget reserve fund to restore the infrastructure facilities of Zmiivska and Trypilska TPPs of PJSC Centrenergo to eliminate the consequences of russian missile attacks.
“Some of Ukraine’s largest thermal power plants, Zmiivska and Trypilska, have suffered significant damage as a result of russian missile attacks. Today, the Government has allocated over UAH 725 million from the state budget reserve fund to eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks. The Government’s priority is to restore and protect electricity generation facilities and provide Ukrainians with stable electricity,” said Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Ihor Fomenko.
The Deputy Minister emphasised that Zmiivska and Trypilska thermal power plants ensured the reliability and stability of the integrated power system of Ukraine and the production of electricity to meet the needs of the country’s consumers. In addition, they are the only source of heat supply, water supply and sewerage for a number of Ukrainian communities.
Thus, the restoration of these TPPs is expected to be carried out at the expense of the fund for the liquidation of the consequences of the armed aggression (UAH 826.2 million) and the reserve fund of the state budget (UAH 725.6 million).
