The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 200 million and 633.87 thousand to the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine for the reconstruction of the Borodyanka Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation, which is managed by the Ministry.

The relevant decision to allocate the money from the fund for liquidation of the consequences of armed aggression was taken at a Government meeting.

“The Borodyanka Centre is a flagship project of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, which is being actively built with the support of the Ministry’s partners. It will replace the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation in Borodyanka (Kyiv region), which was destroyed by a tank hit by the russian occupiers.

This facility will provide comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation services not only to war veterans and their families, but also to the affected civilian population. In addition, the restoration of the Borodyanka Centre is patronised by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who has already donated USD 100,000 towards its reconstruction, a monetary reward he received along with the Medal of Freedom, which is awarded in the United States to prominent world figures.

“I am grateful to the leadership of the state and the Government for supporting this really important project! We are attracting and accumulating funds from our national and international partners for this project, and we are open to cooperation in the reconstruction of our Centre,” said Yulia Laputina, Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
