The Government has allocated UAH 96 million for the installation of anti-drone netting tunnels on priority roads in the Kherson region. This is a matter of defence capability, rapid evacuation and the safety of communities and people. This was emphasised by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to her, the funds will be used to protect roads used daily by civilians, the military and emergency services. “Anti-drone nets along the roads protect people from russian drone attacks and enable the transport of humanitarian cargo,” noted the Head of Government.

The Prime Minister told that, as of now, 190 km of anti-drone nets had already been installed on roads across the region, funded by the Kherson Regional Military Administration in synergy with the Ministry of Defence.

“Installation work is ongoing. We are working on a separate decision regarding the allocation of a grant for road repairs,” added Yulia Svyrydenko.
