The Government continues to prepare the frontline areas for the heating season. During the offsite meetings, the Government put the issue of timber harvesting under control. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

On 30 July, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution that will allow residents of frontline communities to harvest firewood for their household needs free of charge without harming the forests.

In addition, the Government approved the framework Concept of the State Programme of Integrated Water Supply for nine regions most affected by the hostilities. It will be used as a basis for the development of a corresponding programme as soon as possible.

“Our goal is to provide people and businesses with sufficient water, modernise engineering systems, and diversify water supply sources,” the Prime Minister stressed.
