Government improves procedure for maintaining the State Land Cadastre

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the Procedure for Maintaining the State Land Cadastre. The corresponding resolution, “On Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 17 October 2012 No. 1051,” was adopted at the Government meeting on 10 September.

The resolution revises the approach to processing applications for entering (or amending) information in the State Land Cadastre, as well as the accompanying documents, in line with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Administrative Procedure.”

The adopted changes establish clear rules for interaction between the state and citizens in managing the State Land Cadastre, making procedures and deadlines more predictable for businesses. Additionally, the changes are expected to reduce delays and costs by allowing applicants to correct deficiencies without needing to resubmit applications from scratch.

Specifically, the resolution provides for:

  • Acceptance of incomplete document packages for review;
  • Registration of applications regardless of whether the applicant has addressed existing errors;
  • Decisions by the State Cadastre Registrar to suspend an application and inform the applicant about identified deficiencies and how to rectify them;
  • Introduction of a procedure for issuing positive decisions on entering (or amending) information in the State Land Cadastre;
  • Establishment of new document formats for the State Land Cadastre, created during the processing of submitted applications.
