Government has simplified the leasing of state property for defense industry enterprises

The Government has adopted a decision that expands opportunities to scale up Ukraine’s defense industry and increase arms production to meet the needs of the Armed Forces. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers’ decision, for the duration of martial law, the process of leasing state property to defense industry enterprises without an auction has been simplified.

This primarily concerns manufacturers of missile systems, explosive materials, and new types of weapons.
According to the Head of Government, the new mechanism will allow for the faster launch of new production sites and the ramp-up of production to meet the needs of the Armed Forces.

Enterprises that have the status of critically important and are included by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the register of state contract contractors will be free to take advantage of the simplified procedure.

“Ukrainian manufacturers are capable of significantly increasing production, and thus the advantage of our military on the battlefield. The Government exerts every effort to ensure that Ukraine is strong and well-armed,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
