At its meeting on 6 February, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision to allocate funds for recovery programmes to the local budgets of eleven regions. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
It is about nearly UAH 4.5 billion in subventions for the restoration of social and critical infrastructure.
“We expect communities to use state aid effectively. The most important thing is for people to see the tangible results of the work of local authorities,” said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister reminded that 37,400 facilities were restored last year. These include 685 educational institutions, 390 medical and social institutions, almost 2,900 water, gas and heat supply facilities, 22,900 private and multi-storey residential buildings.
