  • Government approved the decision to attract a grant of USD 1.7 billion

    Today, July 9, the Government has made a decision to approve a grant for budget support in the amount of USD 1.7 billion from the Trust Fund of one donor, created by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

    Also, as part of this, the draft order of the President of Ukraine on the authorization of the Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko to sign the Agreement on the special transfer of funds of the Trust Fund of one donor, established by the IBRD and IDA, which act as managers, and the US Agency for International Development, between Ukraine and the IBRD and IDAs, which act as managers of the Trust Fund of one donor.

    The agreement provides for the involvement of one donor’s grant contribution from USAID to the Trust Fund, which will be provided to the Government of Ukraine in accordance with the approved Additional Agreement No. 8 to the Agreement on the Implementation of Tasks in the Field of Development between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States to promote sustainable economic development on a broad social basis as a means ensuring sustainable democracy in Ukraine dated September 17, 2014.

    In accordance with these agreements, with the support of the IBRD and IDA, Ukraine will receive grant funds that will be directed to cover the costs of the general fund of the state budget for the payment of medical services under the medical guarantee program in the amount that is directed by medical service providers for payment of labor with accruals.
