The Government of Ukraine has decided to submit to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a draft law developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the termination of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on the procedure for crossing the Ukrainian-Russian state border by residents of the border regions of Ukraine and the Russian Federation of 18.10.2011.

The mentioned Agreement is actually not applicable from 01.07.2022 in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 692 dated 17.06.2022.

The draft law was prepared as part of a set of measures to counter threats to the national security of Ukraine.
