On February 4, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution "On Termination of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the russian federation on Cooperation in the Peaceful Exploration and Use of Outer Space and the Protocol between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the russian federation on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the russian federation on Cooperation in the Peaceful Exploration and Use of Outer Space" of August 27, 1996.

According to the Resolution, the international agreement with the aggressor state is terminated in connection with the introduction of martial law in Ukraine in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On the Introduction of Martial Law in Ukraine". At the same time, the legal framework is being brought in line with the current state of bilateral relations.
