The state will provide financial support to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for the restoration of production facilities partially or completely destroyed as a result of hostilities. The relevant decision was adopted by the Government at its meeting on 14 October 2022.
“We have made the extremely important decision to expand the 5-7-9 program for our war-torn business. From now on, enterprises will be able to receive state aid in the form of compensation for interest on loans received for the reconstruction of production. The decision will contribute to the restoration of the production and export potential of Ukraine and the economy of our country as a whole. According to our estimates, from several hundred to a thousand enterprises whose property was either stolen, destroyed, or damaged as a result of hostilities will have a chance to benefit from the program. Our goal is to restore business activities of these enterprises as soon as possible so that people have jobs again,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
According to the decision made, entrepreneurs will be able to get a loan for the restoration of production facilities at 9% for up to 5 years for a total of up to UAH 60 million (excluding previously issued loans under state support programs). Fulfillment of obligations under such loans will be partly (up to 80%) ensured by a state guarantee.
Conditions for obtaining a loan:
We remind that UAH 16 billion is provided for the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program in the draft budget for 2023. As of the end of September 2022, since the beginning of the implementation of the program (February 2020), Ukrainian enterprises have received more than 48,000 affordable loans for a total amount of UAH 142.6 billion.
