The Government has allocated UAH 460.5 million in subventions to local budgets for the construction of shelters in schools and military lyceums. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet on 18 February.

“The funds will be allocated to seven regions and 18 communities. We look forward to seeing them used effectively,” he stressed.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the Government has allocated a total of UAH 6.2 billion for the construction of safe learning spaces in 2025.

In addition, work continues on last year’s grants and subventions in the amount of UAH 7.5 billion. The Prime Minister stressed that this would enable the construction of more than 200 shelters in total.
