On 6 August, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi as Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“After the decision of the selection commission, proper checks, and the passing of a polygraph test, there are no reservations regarding his candidacy,” the Prime Minister stated.

According to the Prime Minister, the new director is expected to reform the Bureau’s operations, strengthen its institutional capacity, and establish effective dialogue with the business community.
