On 25 July, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution to appoint PricewaterhouseCoopers (Audit) LLC as the auditor of the financial statements of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.

The firm will conduct the statutory audit of the financial statements of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine in 2023-2024. The Supervisory Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine recommended that the firm be approved as an audit entity to provide audit services.

As a reminder, PricewaterhouseCoopers (Audit) was also approved by the Government as the independent auditor of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine for 2021-2022 following an open auction in the Prozorro system. Under the terms of the tender, the firm was to audit the consolidated and separate financial statements of Naftogaz of Ukraine prepared in accordance with international financial reporting standards.

Background

On 24 January 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved six successful candidates for the Supervisory Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine: four independent members and two state representatives.
