Government supports AI-based unmanned systems development
The Government has approved the launch of an experimental project that grants partners access to training AI models for unmanned systems using real battlefield data. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
“We are strengthening the development of unmanned systems based on artificial intelligence. This is a new format of cooperation between the state, Ukrainian arms manufacturers, and international partners,” said the Head of Government.
Arms manufacturers will gain access to a special AI platform developed by the Ministry of Defence, which will enable safe and high-quality model training without access to sensitive databases. This will help accelerate the development of autonomous systems and the implementation of new technological solutions for the frontline.
“Ukraine today possesses a unique array of battlefield data that exists nowhere else in the world. That is why companies have a strong demand for such data to advance defence technologies. At the same time, for our Defence Forces, this means even greater technological capabilities to more effectively detect and neutralise the enemy on the battlefield,” noted Yulia Svyrydenko.
