Government prepares new support package for people
Following discussions with the President of Ukraine, we are preparing a new support package for our citizens, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
1. Targeted support for pensioners and vulnerable groups
The Head of the Ukrainian Government emphasized that the additional payment of UAH 1,500 shall be directed to support the most vulnerable groups — pensioners, disability benefit recipients, low-income individuals, basic social assistance recipients, internally displaced persons, and families with children. In total, this amounts to almost 13 million people.
The funds will be paid out in a single installment in April using the existing mechanisms through which people receive social benefits — to special bank accounts or via Ukrposhta.
The payments shall be made within the framework of the current budget programs of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity.
2. Fuel cashback
When purchasing fuel at petrol stations, citizens will be eligible for the following cashback from the state: 15% cashback on diesel fuel; 10% cashback on petrol; 5% cashback on autogas.
Yulia Svyrydenko said that cashback on fuel will be available until May 1 at all gas stations participating in the program.
Payments will be made through the National Cashback program, which is already used by 9.4 million citizens.
