Government of Finland provides additional EUR 40 million for the PURL initiative

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo during URC-2026.

“I am grateful to the Finnish government and personally to Prime Minister Petteri Orpo for the decision to disburse an additional EUR 40 million for the PURL initiative, through which NATO countries are purchasing American weapons for Ukraine,” the Head of Government emphasized.

According to Yulia Svyrydenko, these funds will strengthen our air defense—and thus help protect people from vicious russian attacks, including ballistic missile strikes.

“Finland has stood by Ukraine from the very first day of the full-scale invasion. Thank you for your consistency and true partnership,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized.
