Government commissions to take measures to eliminate consequences of adverse weather in Odesa

During a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko heard a report from Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration – Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba, who is at the scene. Reports were also provided by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and Head of the State Emergency Service Andrii Danyk. Rescuers are already working in the city, providing assistance to the residents.

"The Government has tasked the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, together with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service, and the Odesa Regional Military Administration, to take measures to address the consequences of the downpour: carry out necessary repairs, prevent disruptions to critical infrastructure, and ensure road safety. If necessary, resilience points can be opened, and funds may be allocated from the state budget's reserve fund. The Government will promptly adopt all necessary decisions," Yulia Svyrydenko stated.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Government expects an active position from Odesa's local authorities.
