Ukraine received over UAH 37 million in medical humanitarian aid in September

Throughout September, Ukraine received medical humanitarian aid worth over UAH 37 million, coordinated by the Ministry of Health.

Support from international partners continues every month. In September, aid came from international partners and charitable organizations from Germany, Sweden and China, as well as under the Global Fund program.

In September, Ukraine received medicines, medical equipment, ambulances and medical devices for treating injuries.

The German humanitarian organization Action medeor delivered over 41,600 packs of etoricoxib in various dosages, with a total value of over UAH 5 million (an anti-inflammatory and pain-relief drug used to reduce pain and inflammation, in particular in diseases of the joints and musculoskeletal system). The medicine was sent to Vinnytsia, Volyn, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions, as well as Kyiv city.

In addition, Action medeor delivered a consignment of medicines and diagnostic tools with a total value of over UAH 2.8 million. It included, in particular, antibiotics, drugs for treating fungal and parasitic infections, products for symptomatic treatment and respiratory support, infusion solutions, iron preparations and multivitamins, as well as rapid tests for detecting HIV and syphilis.

This aid was sent to healthcare facilities in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions, as well as Kyiv city.

Sweden handed over two ambulances to Ukraine. They were provided for the needs of healthcare facilities in Kyiv and Kherson region.

A Chinese manufacturer of rehabilitation medical devices, orthopedic products and prosthetic components donated 420 external fixation devices to Ukraine. They were delivered to Lviv.

With the assistance of the National Board of Health and Welfare, Sweden provided Ukraine with 30 ventilators and 3,450 components for them. They were distributed among healthcare facilities in Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Rivne and Kirovohrad regions.

Also, under the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria program "Resilient Response to HIV and TB Epidemics Amid War and Ukraine's Recovery," over 10,000 packs of ritonavir were received. It is a medicine used in antiretroviral therapy regimens for treating HIV infection.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine thanks international partners and charitable organizations for supporting Ukraine's healthcare system. The aid received is directed in line with the current needs of healthcare facilities and helps ensure uninterrupted medical care for patients.
