On March 18, the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko talked to the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism of Italy Dario Franceschini.

"By joining efforts of our Ministries in Ukraine and Italy, we will rebuild the Mariupol Drama Theater immediately after Ukraine's victory over the Russian occupiers," said Oleksandr Tkachenko.

Dario Franceschini assured that Italy is in full solidarity with Ukraine. He expressed support for our state and offered cooperation to Ukrainian creative teams during the war.

The ministers also discussed the possibility of drawing on Italy's expertise in preserving cultural heritage and inventorying of cultural values. The interlocutors also discussed exchanging experiences with Italian Carabinieri.

The Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism of Italy supports the introduction of a cultural curtain for Russians. Italy has already denied the russians participation in the Venice Biennale and the Milan Triennial. Instead, they provided additional opportunities for Ukrainian artists to speak at these forums. The ministers agreed to facilitate the tour of Ukrainian bands in Italy.

In addition, Oleksandr Tkachenko received an invitation to join the official meeting of ministers of culture and media, which will take place in late March in online format.
