On May 22, during a visit to Ukraine by President of the Republic of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Estonia on cooperation in the youth sector.
The document was inked by Minister of Youth and Sports Ihor Zhdanov and Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine Gert Antsu.
"I believe that the signing of this Memorandum will be an important milestone in the development of Ukrainian-Estonian relations, as well as contribute to the European integration of Ukraine. I believe that together with our Estonian partners we will achieve better results in the development of the youth sphere, open up new opportunities for the youth, create good conditions for cooperation between young people and NGOs of the two countries", stressed Ihor Zhdanov.
The Minister reminded that close cooperation had already been established with Poland and Lithuania, and launched intergovernmental youth exchange programs: "Hence, I am optimistic about new perspectives of interaction between our ministries, the youth of Ukraine and Estonia."
