Ukraine has a reliable energy infrastructure that allows to stably provide Europe with energy resources, stated Deputy Minister of Energy for European Integration Yaroslav Demchenkov in a statement at the International Forum of Infrastructure and Transport.

"Ukraine has offered Europe to jointly create new tools that will eliminate the possibility of blackmail and manipulation in the energy market. Such tools will provide diversification of energy supplies, including gas, and reliable conditions for maneuvering," said Yaroslav Demchenkov.

The Deputy Minister stressed that at present it is crtitical to ensure full integration of Ukrainian energy markets with European ones.

"Ukraine's gas transport system is the only reliable route that is not controlled by Gazprom. Replacing this route could lead to gas shortages in the countries south and east of the Baumgarten hub (Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Poland and the Balkans). Therefore, we have proposed to our European partners to create a gas fund for the formation of special gas reserves and for hedging price instability through access to gas reserves," said Yaroslav Demchenkov.

"We stand in solidarity with Europe in planning a secure energy future for the region," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
