The state has made the first payments under the National Cashback programme – Ukrainians received cashback for the purchase of Ukrainian goods in September. A total of 646,378 citizens received UAH 37.2 million. This was announced by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

“We have made the first payments under the National Cashback programme. Almost 650,000 Ukrainians have received financial support from the state, of which about 10% are elderly people aged 60+. These payments can be used, among other things, to pay for utilities. This is a particularly important issue during the heating season. Therefore, we provide support to citizens by encouraging them to choose Ukrainian goods,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

Cashback is available to citizens who purchased Ukrainian goods in September for an amount that earned them more than UAH 2 in cashback. As a result, 646,378 consumers will receive a total of UAH 37.2 million.

In September, Ukrainians made most of their cashback purchases in large retail chains participating in the programme – ATB, Silpo, Fora, Aurora, Novus, Varus, Velmart and THRASH! In total, 97 people received cashback in the amount of UAH 1000 to UAH 3000: 77 of them received over UAH 1000, 15 – over UAH 2000 and 5 – the maximum cashback of UAH 3000.

As of 28 October, 2.4 million Ukrainians have joined the programme and were issued 2.6 million cards. More than 1.5 million users have activated cards for payments in Diia. As of today, the total amount of cashback accrued in October is UAH 104.6 million, which is almost 3 times higher than in September.

The state’s National Cashback is already available for 295,000 Ukrainian goods from 1,469 local manufacturers.

Cashback funds will not be taxed. The National Agency on Corruption Prevention has provided the relevant explanations for civil servants and other persons submitting financial declarations.

Cashback can be spent on utilities, medical, transport and other services, or donated to the Armed Forces. Cashback payments cannot be withdrawn from the card.
