The Ministry of Health is working to provide our health care facilities with the necessary medical equipment. Thus, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 118,000 units of various medical equipment have been delivered to Ukrainian hospitals.
Also, during martial law, 343 ambulances have already been delivered to Ukraine as part of humanitarian aid. Another 50 ambulance vehicles were purchased with the funds collected as part of special fundraising initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, on the United24 platform.
Currently, domestic business is involved in this process. In particular, an initiative from one of the companies recently started: from each check, a money transfer is made to a charity account, the funds from which will be used to purchase cars for the centers of disaster medicine and emergency medical care.
"We continue to update the fleet of ambulances in order to ensure the timely arrivals and the quality of medical care provided by emergency workers," said Minister of Health Viktor Liashko. "I am deeply grateful to them for the painstaking work, which became even more difficult during the war. But from the first day to this day, they provide a reliable shoulder to our defenders on the way to Victory. I also thank the domestic business that helps us in providing the medical front with the necessary equipment, transport and medicines."
According to the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the active phase of the russian war in Ukraine, the occupiers crippled 87 emergency medical vehicles, and another 352 were destroyed and lost as a result of hostilities.
