Ukraine will reallocate funds under a loan from the European Investment Bank to modernise substations. The Government made the relevant decision on 8 October, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
“We will be able to allocate an additional EUR 86 million for the construction of protection systems around energy facilities, which will reduce the risks of russian terrorist attacks,” the Head of Government said.
He stressed that despite the enemy’s continued attempts to damage Ukrainian energy facilities, the situation in the energy system was stable and balanced.
According to Denys Shmyhal, the energy sector remains a priority: “The Government and power engineers continue to restore, repair and develop decentralised generation around the clock.”
