Oksana Zholnovych, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, held a working meeting with Gabriel Bastos, Secretary of State for Social Security of Portugal, President of the Institute for Social Policy, part of the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security of Portugal.

Gabriel Bastos presented the strategies being implemented in the areas of pensions, unemployment benefits, social assistance and other types of social protection. 

The parties also discussed how the system of proactive assistance for families in poverty works. Oksana Zholnovych spoke about the peculiarities of digitalisation in Ukraine's social policy. The parties agreed to further exchange successful practices of digital transformation in the provision of social services.
