Ukraine is looking forward to further support from the European Commission in the areas of youth and sport. This was discussed during a meeting between Andrii Chesnokov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for European Integration, and Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission, on the sidelines of the European Youth and Sport Council.
Andrii Chesnokov thanked Margaritis Schinas for the European Commission’s constant attention to Ukraine and recalled the initiative of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Huttsait to expand opportunities for Ukrainian sports and youth organisations in the Erasmus+ programme, which he recently expressed in his relevant appeals to the European Commissioners.
The Vice-President of the European Commission underlined the EU’s commitment to the Ukrainian youth, who raised the European flag during the Revolution of Dignity and defended European values in the war against the russian aggressor. The European Commission is working on further steps to support young Ukrainians.
