The International Monetary Fund transferred the first tranche of USD 1.5 billion to Ukraine under the new four-year program within the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The funds have already been credited and will be used to finance priority budget expenditures and support macrofinancial stability.
The total amount of the program is USD 8.1 billion. Since the start of the full-scale war, IMF financial support for Ukraine has reached USD 14.9 billion.
“I am grateful to our partners for their trust and support. We continue to implement agreed reforms aimed at maintaining macroeconomic stability, strengthening state institutions, and promoting European integration,” the Head of Government stressed.
