The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities of the Kingdom of Denmark have signed an Agreement to expand their energy partnership in the field of wind power generation.
The document was signed online by German Galushchenko, Minister of Energy of Ukraine, and Lars Aagaard, Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities of Denmark, during the WindEurope 2023 conference in Copenhagen.
The parties pledged to promote the further development of the energy partnership and to share experience and knowledge in the field of wind energy.
The partnership will include information exchange and expert cooperation in the development of wind energy strategy, policy and legal measures, knowledge exchange in the development of technological capabilities, as well as the creation of a stable framework for investment and trade in the wind energy sector.
“Ukraine has significant potential for the development of renewable energy in Europe. We are striving to become a leader in building a modern green energy sector, which has been identified as a priority by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. We plan to increase the share of renewable energy in Ukraine’s energy mix to 50% by 2050. Developing a partnership with Denmark in the field of wind energy is extremely important for us in this context,” said German Galushchenko, Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
The head of the Energy Ministry called on the Danish partners to use the potential of bilateral cooperation, in particular within the framework of the newly signed Agreement.
