The Verkhovna Rada registers draft Labor Code initiated by the Government

The Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft Labor Code of Ukraine (reg. No. 14386) initiated by the Government as a legislative initiative.

The document aims to modernize and deregulate labor legislation, standardize individual and collective labor relations based on the principles of equality and decent work, and implement international standards into national legislation.

The draft Labor Code also aims to bring national regulation closer to international standards in the field of labor and approaches enshrined in European Union law, in particular in EU directives.

Parliamentary consideration in the first reading is the start of the procedure for consideration and further improvement of the draft between readings. The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture is open for professional discussion with MPs, social partners, businesses, and experts within the framework of the parliamentary procedure.
