A bilateral meeting of Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine on European Integration Natalia Boyko and Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Turkish Republic Alparslan Bayractar was held in Berlin in the framework of Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2019 conference taking place in Berlin.

"Given the concern of both Ukraine and Turkey in diversifying routes and sources of energy supplies, the necessity occurs to find touchpoints in the interests of our states", Natalia Boyko noted during the meeting.

Moreover, the parties discussed progress made on the outcomes of the meeting of the Ukraine-Turkey Working Group on Energy held in March 2017. Natalia Boyko, as co-chair of the Working Group, emphasized on the effectiveness of such a mechanism of cooperation and proposed to hold the next meeting in Kyiv this year.

Moreover, Natalia Boiko emphasized the importance of Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation for strengthening energy security in the Black Sea area.
