February 12, during a working visit of the Ukrainian delegation to NATO Headquarters, Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Zagorodnyuk participated in a multilateral QUINT format meeting with the heads of the defense agencies delegations of the UK, Canada, Poland, Lithuania and the United States of America.
Ukrainian side emphasized the possibility of international support optimization in order to coordinate efforts more effectively. The Minister of Defense stressed the need to define the range of international efforts in accordance with the defense reform priorities to better assess the current and further assistance to Ukraine.
Andriy Zagorodnyuk also noted that it is important to coordinate efforts in the enhancement of the Ukrainian Navy capabilities, in this context, as the results of the meeting an agreement was reached regarding the development of an assistance package for the Ukrainian Navy. Other areas noted by the Ukrainian side are improving of situational awareness, information sharing and enhancement of cybersecurity capabilities.
The parties also exchanged views on the current state of reform, priority reforms lines of the new team, and the possibility of expanding QUINT cooperation at the level of CHODs and Policy Directors.
Among other things, the Heads of National Delegations of the Alliance expressed support for Ukraine's aspirations to join NATO's EOP program.
Andriy Zagorodnyuk also thanked partners for consistent support and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in multilateral and bilateral formats.
