  • Nearly UAH 32 billion in loans for business development paid out to farmers this year

    Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainian farmers have received almost UAH 31.8 billion in bank loans for the development of their farms. Of this, 4,700 farms received UAH 17.8 billion under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 state programme.

    The top regions receiving the largest amount of loans under various programmes were as follows:

    • Kyiv region – UAH 7.06 billion;
    • Vinnytsia region – UAH 3.5 billion,
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 2.6 billion;
    • Kirovohrad region – UAH 2.35 billion;
    • Odesa region – UAH 2.1 billion.

    At the same time, farms in the following regions received the largest amount of funds under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme:

    • Kirovohrad region – UAH 1.97 billion for 697 farms;
    • Vinnytsia region – UAH 1.9 billion for 610 farms;
    • Odesa region – UAH 1.8 billion for 466 farms;
    • Kyiv region – UAH 1.6 billion for 354 farms.

    Background

    The Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme facilitates access to bank loans for micro and small businesses. Farmers can obtain a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are provided at an interest rate of 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and business entity.
