Labor migration is one of the priority issues for the Ministry of Social Policy. This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Olha Krentovska at a meeting with representatives of the International Organization for Migration Office in Ukraine, in particular with the communications officer.

"Our long-standing cooperation with the International Organization for Migration gives us confidence in the successful implementation of new initiatives. We establish contacts with the countries where the largest amount of Ukrainian citizens works and we improve the international treaty base. An increase in the flows of labor migration is a global trend that has not passed by our country", stressed Deputy Minister.

She also noted that the issue of labor migration needs special attention and approaches.

"Our main objective is to make the process of labor migration regulated, to provide an adequate legal basis and social protection of our citizens who work abroad", Olha Krentovska stressed.

The parties discussed ways of further cooperation, the possibility of introducing a new regional initiative on labor migration, namely the project "Improving the quality of recruitment through ethical employment and training", which is currently under development.
