Situation in the power system as of 30 March: emergency outage schedules in six regions have been cancelled, hourly electricity restrictions are applied only in Kharkiv region; no electricity shortages are expected

GENERATION, CONSUMPTION, TRANSMISSION

Yesterday, by the end of the day, emergency outage schedules were cancelled in all regions where restrictions were applied during the evening peak load. As a reminder, the reason was grid constraints and insufficient local generation due to damaged power plants.

As of this morning, no emergency outage schedules are in place. Hourly outages are in effect only in the Kharkiv region for 120,000 customers. The reason is significant damage to Ukrenergo's equipment and, as a result, the inability to transmit the required amount of electricity.

Yesterday, at the request of Poland, electricity was supplied to the Ukrainian power system from 12:00 to 15:00. A thermal power plant unit has been shut down for short-term repairs. There is currently no shortage of electricity in the power system. The power system is operating in a balanced manner.

CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING

A UAV attack at night caused an emergency shutdown of equipment at a substation in Odesa region, which resulted in a short-term power cut to about 70,000 consumers. All of them have been reconnected.

STATE OF THE GRID

High-voltage lines were disconnected in Dnipropetrovsk region, leaving households, industry and the railway without power supply and causing disruptions to train traffic. Within half an hour, all consumers were supplied with power.

In the evening, an overhead line in Sumy region lost power, leaving households and industry without electricity. All consumers have been supplied with power as of now.

In Kirovohrad region, a high-voltage overhead line was disconnected, the railway (no train traffic disruptions) and household consumers were cut off. All consumers have been supplied with electricity.

SITUATION AT ZNPP

The water level in the cooling pond is 15.52 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
