Situation in the power system as of 28 May: no restrictions on electricity supply to household and industrial consumers are currently expected.
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Yesterday, the needs of consumers were covered by domestic generation and commercial imports. During the daytime, Ukraine also provided emergency assistance to Poland, receiving surplus electricity from the country's power system.
Due to the lack of generation after the russian attacks, restrictions were imposed on household and industrial consumers. No restrictions are expected to be imposed for the current day.
This is due to an increase in domestic generation, in particular nuclear generation - two nuclear units have been connected to the grid after scheduled repairs. The weather conditions and, accordingly, the active operation of solar power plants during the daytime also contribute to this.
At the same time, several more nuclear units are being prepared for scheduled outages, which is important for their uninterrupted operation during the heating season. Therefore, the volume of generation will decrease.
CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING
In Kharkiv region, an overhead power line of a regional power company was disconnected, which resulted in the shutdown of two substations and the household consumers connected to them. Hostilities are ongoing in the area.
STATE OF THE GRID
In the western and eastern regions, three high-voltage overhead lines were briefly disconnected for technological reasons. The lines have been brought back into operation and a routine inspection has been organised to find out the reasons for the outages.
In Donetsk region, an overhead line of a regional power company was disconnected for technological reasons.
As a result, three substations connected to household consumers and railway infrastructure lost power (there were no disruptions to train traffic). The overhead line is back in operation and all consumers are supplied with electricity.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased to 15.25 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 17,207 MWh. No exports are expected.
