Situation in energy system as of April 26
Situation in the power system as of April 26: due to lower consumption, Ukraine attracted less emergency assistance; restrictions are in effect in Kharkiv region and Kryvyi Rih.
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Due to network limitations on the transmission system operator's lines, blackout schedules were applied yesterday in Kharkiv region and for industry in Kryvyi Rih.
The restrictions in these regions are still in effect today. In other regions, consumers were not restricted yesterday.
Due to lower consumption and sunny weather (and thus active operation of solar power plants), the Ukrainian power system received much less emergency assistance yesterday than on other days. Emergency electricity was imported only at the beginning of the day (at night and in the morning) - from Poland and Romania. The total volume of emergency consumption amounted to about 1% of the daily supply.
Currently, consumers' needs are covered by own generation and commercial imports.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
In the Kharkiv region, high-voltage overhead lines were damaged by enemy shelling.
As a result, a high-voltage substation lost power and household consumers lost electricity. Within a few hours, the substation and consumers were reconnected.
STATE OF THE GRID
In Khmelnytsky region, equipment at a high-voltage substation was disconnected due to a technological failure. As a result, household consumers and the railroad lost power, causing disruptions to train traffic. Within 15 minutes, all consumers were reconnected.
In Zhytomyr region, power substations of the regional power company lost power. Residential consumers and local industry suffered short-term power outages.
EMERGENCIES
In Vinnytsia, a consumer attacked a power company controller during an inspection. An ambulance and the police were called. The controller was taken to the hospital.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased and is 15.40 meters. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 12401 MWh. No exports are planned.
