Situation in the power system as of 2 May: consumers' needs are covered by both domestic generation and commercial imports; due to sunny weather, electricity consumption is decreasing.
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Thanks to sunny weather, electricity consumption is decreasing - yesterday it was 4% lower than the previous day.
The needs of consumers were covered by domestic generation and commercial imports. No emergency assistance was required.
Due to the sunny weather and, consequently, the active generation of electricity by SPPs, the transmission system operator limited the generation of electricity from renewable sources from 11:00 to 16:00.
Due to network restrictions on the transmission system operator's lines, yesterday blackout schedules were applied in Kharkiv region and for industry in Kryvyi Rih. Restrictions in these regions are still in effect today. In other regions, consumers were not restricted yesterday.
