Yesterday, an emergency occurred on the 330 kV line of the transmission system operator in Rivne region. The 220 kV interconnector with Hungary was also briefly out of service. The estimated location of the damage is 37 km from the Mukachevo substation, in the Hungarian power system.
Power generation
Electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is fully sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. There is no shortage. Nearly 46% of all electricity is generated by nuclear power, more than 32% by thermal power, more than 11% by renewables and more than 10% by hydropower.
Situation in the frontline areas
Hostile terror continues in the frontline and border regions with russia. Some consumers in Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions have lost electricity due to shelling. Some customers in Chernihiv, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions are without electricity due to earlier shelling.
Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.
More than 26,000 customers have been reconnected over the past day. Most of them are customers in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. In Kherson region, almost 100 customers who had been without power since the beginning of the occupation were reconnected.
Consequences of the Kakhovka HPP dam blow-up
The consequences of the flooding caused by the dam blast are being recorded and dealt with. In Kherson 13,500 consumers are still without electricity. In the de-occupied part of the region, the last 35 consumers cut off by the flooding have been reconnected.
Power engineers are working to restore power supply.
Situation at ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 16.58 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
Situation in the regions
Due to the bad weather, 22 settlements in Sumy region and 37 settlements in Donetsk region are without electricity. Some consumers in Chernihiv region are also without electricity due to technological disruptions.
Exports/imports
Commercial electricity imports totalled 989 MWh last day. There were no exports.
