Electricity consumption is growing, there is no deficit, power generation is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers
Power generation and consumption
Electricity consumption is growing due to lower temperatures and the end of the holidays. No deficit was recorded. The electricity generated in Ukraine is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers.
Four units and one building of TPPs and one CHPP unit are back in operation after repairs and from reserve. Four generation units were put out of service for short-term emergency repairs. There are also reserve capacities.
The situation is under control. No blackout schedules are in place.
Consequences of shelling
An employee of a petrol station sustained a shrapnel wound as a result of artillery shelling of a coal mine in Donetsk region. He was taken to hospital.
An overhead line was damaged by shelling in Mykolaiv region, causing a fire. More than 17,000 consumers lost power at the same time. All of them have been reconnected.
The hostilities damaged low-pressure gas pipelines in Kramatorsk district. The accident has been contained, with over 200 consumers without gas supply.
An explosive device was found near an oil pipeline in Odesa region.
State of the grid
A 330 kV substation in Poltava region was shut down due to equipment damage. All consumers were promptly supplied with power.
In the morning, an overhead line in Kyiv region lost power. Four substations, industrial and household consumers were cut off. All customers have been supplied with power.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.63 metres. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.
Import/Export
Electricity imports for the current day amount to 252 MWh. Exports to Slovakia, Romania and Moldova amount to 1,483 MWh.
