Consequences of the bad weather
Due to adverse weather conditions, consumers in Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Odesa, and Chernihiv regions were temporarily without electricity. They have all been reconnected. At present, 2 settlements in Sumy and 8 in Cherkasy regions remain without power.
In Zakarpattia region, the 110 kV interconnection line with Moldova was temporarily cut off due to bad weather conditions and all consumers were supplied via back-up facilities.
Situation in the frontline regions
Hostile terror continues in the frontline and border regions with russia. In Donetsk region, shelling has left some consumers without power, one mine has been de-energised and restoration work is underway.
As a result of earlier shelling, some consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions are without power.
Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.
Power generation
The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is fully sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. There is no shortage.
Consequences of the Kakhovka HPP dam blow-up
Efforts are underway to assess and deal with the consequences of the flooding caused by the dam blast. In Kherson, 13,000 customers are still without electricity.
Power engineers are working to restore power supply.
Situation at the ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 16.56 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant’s needs.
Situation in the regions
Some consumers in the Kyiv region were cut off from electricity due to technological disruptions.
An accident occurred in Sumy region. While trying to repair a broken wire from a power pole to a house, a local resident climbed the pole without authorization and was fatally electrocuted. Police were called to the scene.
Exports/imports
Commercial electricity imports totalled 715 MWh last day. There were no exports.
